Greater Goods Premium Coffee Scale
Maker’s price on Oct 2, 2026: $30.99 at Greater Goods. Or buy from Greater Goods
The shop description says this digital scale is for pour-over coffee, or anything in the kitchen that needs a fast refresh. That coffee sentence is why it is here. The same sentence also points at the rest of the kitchen. Both are on the page.
- Price: $30.99. Onyx Black, SKU 0460; Stone Blue, SKU 0591; Birch White, SKU 0592. All three were marked available. The variant records had no compare-at price. $30.99 is $19.01 under a $50.00 cap. Source: Greater Goods product data, checked October 2, 2026. shop.greatergoods.com Premium Coffee Scale
- The description says it measures down to the tenth of a gram. It does not, in that block, print the characters “0.1 g” or the word “resolution.” This article does not relabel the phrase.
- Timer: the description says the timer counts up or down, and the feature list says a timer that counts up and down. Tare is named. Six units of measurement are named. The description does not, in the block used here, print a maximum capacity in grams. That number is left out.
This is the lowest price in the set. The page does not say the scale is only for espresso, and it does not say it is only for pour-over. The opening line names pour-over and then the rest of the kitchen.
Wacaco Exagram
$34.90. Wacaco product data, checked October 2, 2026.
ShopWacaco calls it a coffee scale, for espresso shots and for pour-over. The built-in timer is named for pour-over. It is in this list.
- Price: $34.90. The page’s price currency is USD. SKU 103999.00006 was marked available. The compare-at price on that variant was also $34.90, the same number, not a second sale price. $34.90 is $3.91 more than the Greater Goods scale at $30.99, and $15.10 under $50.00. Source: Wacaco product data, checked October 2, 2026. wacaco.com Exagram
- The feature list says weighing, timer, and tare. It also says “Precise measurement, 0.1g accuracy.” That is the word “accuracy,” not “resolution.” Weighing range: up to 2 kg. Units: g, oz, and ml. A later line says drop-by-drop count over 3 g. Power: 2 AAA batteries, and the notice says the batteries are not included.
The page says the scale is pocket-size and fits most brewing devices and espresso trays. It does not, in the sentences used here, print length, width, or height. Those blanks stay blank.
Wacaco Exagram Pro
$49.90. Wacaco product data, checked October 2, 2026.
ShopThe same maker’s next scale. The description names pour-over, espresso, a timer, and a rechargeable battery. The price is still at or under $50.
- Price: $49.90 USD. SKU 103999.00007 was marked available. Compare-at was also $49.90. $49.90 is $0.10 under $50.00, and $15.00 more than the Exagram at $34.90. Source: Wacaco product data, checked October 2, 2026. wacaco.com Exagram Pro
- Features named on that page: weighing, timer, and tare. “Precise measurement, 0.1g accuracy.” Wide weighing range, up to 2 kg. Units g, oz, and ml. Drop-by-drop count over 0.3 g. That 0.3 g line is not the Exagram’s “over 3 g” line. They are different products. This article does not average them.
- Power: USB rechargeable lithium-ion battery. Up to 15 hours of use. Rechargeable in 2 hours. A protective carrying box is included. The page does not, in the block used here, say the battery is a AAA cell. The Exagram page did.
At $49.90 it is the pick closest to the cap. The page’s accuracy phrase is still “0.1g accuracy,” the same wording as the $34.90 model, not a separate resolution spec.
Timemore Black Mirror Dot
$45.00. Timemore product data, checked October 2, 2026.
ShopTimemore’s page calls it a coffee weighing platform for brewers, with live flow tracking. The price is under $50. Several lines on the page do not agree with each other. They are left as printed.
- Price: $45.00. Black, SKU 6959493518094; Yellow, 6959493518711; White, 6959493518100; Blue, 6959493518735; Green, 6959493518704; Pink, 6959493518728. Each variant was marked available, and none had a compare-at price. The visible page also shows $45.00 twice, the words “Lock in our presale price,” and a “20% OFF” banner. The variant record does not show a higher price that 20% would have been taken from. This article does not invent that higher price. $45.00 is $14.01 more than Greater Goods at $30.99, and $5.00 under $50.00. Source: Timemore product data, checked October 2, 2026. timemore.com Black Mirror Dot
- Resolution: a heading says “0.1 g Resolution,” and the next line says Dot measures from 0.2 g to 1,200 g in 0.1 g increments. A later line says “From 0.2 g to 1200 g” and “precision up to 0.1 g,” then “Accuracy at maximum capacity: ±2 g.” A 0.1 g step and a ±2 g accuracy note at the top of the range are not the same claim. Both are on the page.
- Timing: the opening says “dual timing modes.” The sentences used here do not use the word “timer.” This article does not swap in that word. Platform weight: “at just 50 g.” Battery: 300 mAh, “15 h Battery Life,” “Approx. 2.5 h Recharge Time,” and “up to 180 five-minute brews,” which the page says works out to nearly half a year at one brew a day. The page also says actual battery life may vary, and that those results are based on laboratory testing. That test is Timemore’s line, not a test from this site.
- Shipping: one line says orders are expected to ship by the end of January. It does not name a year. Another line says “Pre-Order Item — Estimated Shipping: October 8.” It does not name a year. The variant records were marked available on the same day. January, October 8, and “available” are all on the page. This article does not pick a ship date.
The page also says the platform syncs over Bluetooth 5.2 and uses the phone as the display. That is a different object from the Greater Goods and Wacaco screens described above. This site did not pair a phone to it.
What had to be true
- The product page had to be a coffee scale for brewing, not a generic kitchen listing with no coffee sentence.
- The price had to be a U.S. maker list price at or under $50. $50.00 would have counted. $49.90 counts. $60.00 does not.
- A well-known coffee scale over $50 is named only as over the cap, with the price. It is not a pick.
Over the cap
These are not picks. Each price was on the maker’s page on October 2, 2026. Specs are not copied into the pick list.
- Hario V60 Drip Scale, black, $60.00, marked available, product number VSTN-INT-2000B. hario-usa.com V60 Drip Scale Black. The white V60 Drip Scale was also $60.00, marked available, product number VSTN-2000W. hario-usa.com V60 Drip Scale White. $60.00 is $10.00 over a $50.00 cap.
- Acaia Pearl, $150.00. Pitch Black, SKU AP009, was marked unavailable. Classic White, AP007, and Classic Black, AP008, were marked available. acaia.co Pearl. $150.00 is $100.00 over the cap.
- Fellow Tally Pro Precision Scale, Studio Edition, black, $199.95, SKU D1300PROS-US, marked available. The compare-at price was also $199.95. fellowproducts.com Tally Pro. $199.95 is $149.95 over the cap.
- Timemore Basic Mini, on the same shop as the $45.00 Dot, is over the cap on both printed prices. Black: sale $69.00, compare-at $79.00, marked available. White: sale $75.00, compare-at $79.00, marked available. timemore.com Basic Mini. Even the lower of those figures, $69.00, is $19.00 over $50.00. The sale price and the compare-at price are both left standing.
How to choose without a test
- Lowest price in the set: Greater Goods at $30.99, in three colors, with a timer that the page says counts up and down, and a “tenth of the gram” line rather than a printed “0.1 g resolution.”
- A named 0.1 g accuracy line and a built-in timer, with batteries not in the box: Wacaco Exagram at $34.90, up to 2 kg.
- The same accuracy wording, rechargeable, $0.10 under the cap: Exagram Pro at $49.90. Its drop-by-drop line says 0.3 g. The Exagram’s says 3 g.
- A page that does print “0.1 g Resolution,” at $45.00: Timemore Dot. Read the ±2 g accuracy line, the 20% banner that does not show a second price, and the two ship dates before you treat “available” as in hand.
None of that is a brew test. How fast the number updates, and how close a reading lands to a test weight, were not measured here.
What to check on the listing
- Whether the page says timer, or only “timing.” The Dot page used here says dual timing modes. Greater Goods and both Wacaco pages say timer.
- Whether the page says resolution or accuracy. Those words are not swapped in this article.
- The cap. $49.90 is in. $60.00, $69.00, $150.00, and $199.95 are not.
- On the Dot, January versus October 8, and a 20% banner beside two $45.00 figures.
Kettles that sit next to a scale are on gooseneck kettles under $100. A three-piece pour-over setup is on the starter kit page.
