Breville Bambino, BES450
Maker’s price on Oct 2, 2026: $299.95 and $249.95 at Breville. Or buy from Breville
- Price: the page showed both $299.95 and $249.95. The stock line said out of stock next to $249.95. The page does not, in that block, label one figure “regular” and the other “sale.” A separate line on the same page offers 25% off fresh beans. That bean line is not a discount off the machine, and it is not included in the price. Both machine amounts are under $500. This article does not pick which one the cart charges. Source: Breville U.S., checked October 2, 2026. breville.com Bambino BES450
- Spec list on that page: dimensions (W×D×H) 11.9 × 6.1 × 13.5 in. Capacity 47 fl oz. Power 1560 watts. Voltage 110–120 volts. Weight 10.42 lb / 4.725 kg. Warranty line: 1 year limited warranty. Milk texturing: manual. Portafilter: 54 mm. Brewing system line: 15 bar Italian pump, ready in 3 seconds, ThermoJet, PID temperature control. Control panel: 1 cup, 2 cup, hot water, and steam. Construction: stainless steel. The page also says an 18 gram dose in the 54 mm portafilter. That 18 gram line is the maker’s description, not a dose weighed here.
- Included accessories named in the spec list: 1-cup and 2-cup single-wall and dual-wall filter baskets, milk jug, portafilter, tamper, steam-wand tip cleaning tool, descaling powder.
Fits someone who wants a button machine and a manual steam wand, and who can accept that the page did not show one price. It was marked out of stock in the line next to $249.95. The page points readers who want an automatic steam wand to the Bambino Plus.
Breville Bambino Plus, BES500
Maker’s price on Oct 2, 2026: $499.95 and $399.95 at Breville. Or buy from Breville
- Price: the page showed both $499.95 and $399.95. The cart line said add to cart next to $399.95. The page does not, in that block, label one figure “regular” and the other “sale.” A separate line on the same page offers 25% off fresh beans. That bean line is not a discount off the machine, and it is not included in the price. The higher figure, $499.95, is still at or under $500, so the machine stays inside the cap on either printed amount. This article does not pick the cart price. Source: Breville U.S., checked October 2, 2026. breville.com Bambino Plus BES500
- Spec list on that page: dimensions (W×D×H) 11.9 × 7.4 × 14.3 in. Capacity 64 fl oz. Power 1560 watts. Voltage 110–120 volts. Weight 10.91 lb / 4.95 kg. Warranty line: 2 year limited warranty. Milk texturing: hands-free. Settings line: 1 cup, 2 cup, and steam; adjustable milk temperature and texture; hot water via the steam wand. Construction: stainless steel. The product copy, separate from that spec list, says a 54 mm stainless steel portafilter, 18 grams of coffee, a ThermoJet system ready in 3 seconds, and a hands-free automatic steam wand. The spec list fetched here did not repeat “15 bar” or “54 mm.” Those words are not copied from the Bambino onto the Plus.
- Included accessories in the spec list: 54 mm tamper, a dosing tool the page names the Razor, a 16 fl oz / 480 ml stainless steel milk jug, 1-cup and 2-cup single-wall and dual-wall filter baskets, a cleaning tool, and a cleaning disc.
The Plus is still semi-automatic. The wand can texture milk hands-free, in the maker’s words. You still use a portafilter. It is not a hopper machine that grinds and extracts from a drink menu. It is the widest and tallest of the two Bambino spec lists, and the only one whose spec list says 64 fl oz and a 2 year warranty. The $499.95 figure is $200.00 above the Bambino’s $299.95 figure, and the $399.95 figure is $150.00 above the Bambino’s $249.95 figure. Those gaps use the printed pairs. They are not a single discount.
De’Longhi Stilosa EC260BK
$99.95 and $149.95. Current $99.95, original $149.95. De’Longhi U.S., checked October 2, 2026.
Shop- Price: the page showed a current price of $99.95 and an original price of $149.95, with the words “(-33%)” and “Lowest Price last 30 days $99.95.” The same page’s data names a list pricebook of $149.95 and a sale pricebook of $99.95. Those labels agree with each other. Both numbers are under $500. Schema markup on the page said InStock. Source: De’Longhi U.S., checked October 2, 2026. delonghi.com Stilosa EC260BK
- The page calls it a manual espresso machine. It says 15 bar pump pressure, a stainless steel boiler, and a manual milk frother. Included items named on the page: portafilter, tamper, a filter for single espresso, a filter for double espresso, a measuring spoon, and an instruction manual. A two-level cup holder is described. No tank volume and no wattage were in that text, so those are omitted.
- Warranty on that same page is not one sentence. The product copy says “1 Year Warranty + 1 year with product registration.” A nearby line says “2-Year included warranty.” This article does not merge those into one term.
Fits someone who wants the lowest labeled current price in this set and a portafilter with a steam wand you hold. Skip it if you need the page to state a water-tank size. It does not.
De’Longhi Dedica DeLuxe EC685M
$279.95. De’Longhi U.S., checked October 2, 2026.
Shop- Price: current price $279.95. The page said out of stock. One price was printed, not a sale pair. Source: De’Longhi U.S., checked October 2, 2026. delonghi.com Dedica EC685M
- The page says 15 bar pressure, thermoblock heating, and an adjustable manual milk frother. Width in the compact-design line: 15 cm. The removable drip tray line says mugs and glasses up to 12 cm tall. Auto shut-off: 20 minutes after the last brew, in the page’s words. It says you can use ground coffee or pods, and a how-to line on the page names E.S.E. pods. That is why it is not filed as pod-only.
- Warranty conflict on the same fetch: the product block says “2-Year included warranty.” A line in the page chrome says “Industry Leading 3 Year Warranty Included.” Those are not the same term. This article does not decide which one the cart applies to the EC685M.
Fits a narrow counter if you use the 15 cm width the page states. It was marked out of stock on the day checked. The site chrome also said free shipping on orders over $40. That is a site line, not a second machine price.
What is in, and what is out
Semi-automatic here means an electric pump machine with a portafilter. You dose and tamp, then press a button to start the shot, and you stop it or let a programmed cup button stop it. Milk, if the machine has a wand, is a separate step.
- Fully automatic and super-automatic machines are out. Those grind beans in a hopper and run a drink from a menu button. De’Longhi’s own U.S. navigation splits “Automatic Espresso Machines” from “Manual Espresso Machines.” This list uses only the manual, pump side of that split. No automatic-machine price is included, because this check did not open an automatic product page for a number.
- Pod-only machines are out. A machine that takes only a sealed capsule, with no basket for ground coffee, is a different appliance. No pod-only price is included.
- Manual lever machines are out. On those, you pull a lever to drive the water. There is no electric pump button. No lever price is included.
De’Longhi’s Dedica page says the machine can use ground coffee or E.S.E. pods. That is not a pod-only machine. It stays in, with that sentence quoted below.
At or under $500
These are the semi-auto listings whose maker pages were clear enough to cite. A sale price and a list price are both reported when the page printed both.
Over $500, not a pick
The Gaggia Classic Pro E24 is a well-known beginner pump machine. It is over the cap on every color the product data listed, so it is not a pick.
- Stainless steel: $549.00, marked available, SKU 67268. Other colors on the same product data were $599.00 and marked available: Cherry Red (67269), Classic Blue (67386), Thunder Black (67270), Polar White (67385), Industrial Gray (67387), Lobster Red (67388), Jungle Green (67389), Sunshine Yellow (67390). Source: Gaggia North America, checked October 2, 2026. gaggia-na.com Classic Pro E24
- The description says a solid lead-free brass boiler, made in Italy, and 9-bar brew pressure. It does not describe a lever. Nine bar is the maker’s pressure line. It is not the 15 bar line on the De’Longhi and Bambino pages, and this article does not convert one into the other.
The lowest Gaggia color that day, $549.00, is $49.00 above $500 and $49.05 above the Bambino Plus figure of $499.95. The Plus sale figure of $399.95 is a different printed number. Do not subtract $549.00 from $399.95 and call that the gap unless the cart actually charges $399.95.
How to choose without a test
- Lowest current price the maker labeled as current: Stilosa at $99.95, with $149.95 labeled original. Warranty text on that page disagrees with itself.
- Narrow pump machine, one printed price, out of stock that day: Dedica at $279.95. The page also offers an E.S.E. pod path. Warranty text on the page is 2 years in the product block and 3 years in the chrome.
- Manual steam wand, two printed prices and no label saying which one is the list price: Bambino, $299.95 and $249.95, out of stock next to $249.95. Spec list: 47 fl oz, 1560 W, 54 mm, 15 bar, 1 year limited warranty.
- Hands-free milk wand, still at or under $500 on both printed prices: Bambino Plus, $499.95 and $399.95, with add to cart next to $399.95. Spec list: 64 fl oz, 1560 W, 2 year limited warranty. The 15 bar line was on the Bambino spec list, not on the Plus spec list fetched the same day.
- Gaggia Classic Pro E24: $549.00 or $599.00. Over the cap. Not a pick.
None of that is a taste ranking. Shot time, temperature at the puck, and steam pressure were not measured here.
What to check on the listing
- Which of the two dollar amounts the cart uses. Breville prints two machine prices and does not label them regular versus sale in the block used here. The “25% off” line on those pages is about beans, not the machine. De’Longhi’s Stilosa page does label $99.95 as current and $149.95 as original.
- Stock. Dedica and the Bambino were marked out of stock. The Bambino Plus showed add to cart next to $399.95. Stilosa’s schema said InStock.
- Warranty sentence on the same page. Stilosa and Dedica each printed more than one.
- Whether a grinder is in the box. None of the spec lists above included a grinder.
